Heather and I had the opportunity to serve together for about six years, including years which involved the challenges of the pandemic and its critical impact on artistic endeavours. Heather sought out grants for which we were most aligned and for which we saw the best results. She was present at all fundraising events in a positive, dynamic way which made our donors feel engaged and appreciated. She brought strength to the theatre during very difficult times.
In another aspect of my life, I have been a small business owner. As such, I have learned that it takes more than a good education and a great résumé to make an effective consultant. Perhaps my greatest takeaway from working with Heather is that her professionalism and calm, comfortable interaction with people make her a valuable resource to any organization.
